It's a BLIZZARD! Snow, Snow & More Snow!
Since 4am this morning we've already got 12 inches on the ground and MORE coming! Holy Cow! They're calling for 22 inches, but at the rate we're going it's going to be even more. I am speechless.
You see, yesterday they were only telling us 7-10 inches, and being the brave soul I am.. eh 7-10" is nothing. I can go to Wal-Mart anytime in 7-10 inches. Then my mom tells me she hears it might be 12" so she's going to pick up some stuff and drop it off on her way home. Cool, we're set for a few days.
Oh yea?!?!?!
Well this morning, I wake up at 6am and turn on the news. NOW they're saying 22 INCHES of snow by nightfall. I'm like OH MY GOSH!!!! So I jump up, get dressed, call my mom, wake up Nadia - tell her to watch her sister (who is sound asleep and well, she sleeps til noon if I let her). Then I was off to brave the storm.
By the time I left Wal-Mart there was already 12" inches of snow on the ground. It's now almost noon and there's no end in sight.
Wheeeeeeeeeeew. It's going to be a long week.
UPDATE: here's a picture, we're up to about 14" now and it's STILL SNOWING :)
News FLASH: We're now up to at LEAST 25" inches!!! We're totally buried here with no chance of getting the car out for only God knows how long. The entire city is in a state of Emergency and no one is allowed on the roads. BUT no one can be on the roads because none of them are passable. Snow is drifting and it's the worst blizzard I've ever been in in my entire life (and I'm 35 years old!)
The lavender tub is now buried and the snow was drifted 3 feet against my back door which I had to clear in order to let our puppy, Cowboy, be able to go out to potty. OMG, this is a nightmare. We have food for about 7 days... so we should be okay.

It's Snowing! Our first snowfall of the season
Yeaaa, it's finally snowing. It's December 13th and this is the very first time it's snowed this season. Can't believe it took so long.
Ann got a new coat, scarf and gloves from Old Navy last night, so she was very prepared - and excited. Hey, check out Old Navy - they're having an awesome sale. Old Navy Frost Free Jackets for kids are now only $27, performance fleece gloves & scarves were only $4.25. We bought ours JUST IN TIME!! She's planning on building a snowman! I didn't have the heart to tell her that we might only get a dusting, rather than a blizzard. Last year we didn't even get hardly any snow at all - so we may have to travel to Chicago to build a snowman this year haha.
- Hours spent with Pharaoh today: 0 so far, he's just now having his breakfast - yum yum
- Pharaoh's Mood: probably happy :) He'll have fun running around in the snowflakes today
