Horse Talk - me, rambling on about PharaohSanta & His Elf - Happy HolidaysWe have been having a little too much fun around here - so I just had to share! Horse Blankets & Coolers... Shopping online for a turnout blanket and a cooler is making me mental! Our first real injury :( Our boy has a huge scrape on his face. A new mare was introduced into the paddock and the other guy out there decided that she belonged to him, not our beloved Pharaoh. I was SO right! Everything that was wrong with our horse... was related to where we were boarding him. Poor baby! We're moving... Too many horses, too much going on, too many boarders.. we need a smaller barn! I love this picture! A photo of Ann and Pharaoh. She looks so cute giving him that hug! You know we love this horse, right? Those Spooky Winds, My Spooky Horse The remnants of hurricane Frances blew into town early today. Pharaoh was one spooky horse. Just watching him in the pasture I knew we wouldn't be able to ride him today. You Dirty Horse! Stop Rolling in the Mud! Ewwww, was he ever dirty today. He just got down and rolled in that dirt! Boy, does he love doing this. We had a really great night with him tonight though... A Day at the Stables But not much time spent with our horse.... Is he really a black horse? Contrary to how he looks at the moment, our horse really is black. But at the moment he looks a bit auburn! The Spooked Horse Ugh what a day. My horse hates this woman's dog at the stable and the woman doesn't even care that she spooks our horse. Going to the Rodeo I've not been to a rodeo in years, this should be a lot of fun! Our first full day without visiting our horse This was the first time since we got Pharaoh that we've not been out to see him. Nadia's grounded from him and Ann had soccer. Life got in the way :) Horses Listen, Kids Ignore You Why does my daughter have to push me to my limit? She knows she'll get in trouble but she still does it. Ugh, it's so annoying! Our Guy vs. Four Mares Poor guy, they turned him out in an area today with four mares. Needless to say, they sure put him in his place. So, when we came to get him to ride - he was just a bit frustrated. Pharaoh & I, a morning routine Due to the high volume of stress in my life, I've decided to have a bit of Me & Pharaoh time. He's Here! Our New Horse Arrived Today Our new Arabian arrived today. This is the very first horse we've ever owned. We'll be keeping a training, riding, lessons journal online as we go. |
